Hi,
I just want to use Cloudflare’s DNS services so I have paused the service to disable cache.
Will it remain in pause status unless I change it? Or it’s just a temporary setting?
There is no indication pausing is temporary

However you dont necessarily have to pause it, you can also switch all your DNS records to

So if I switch to “gray cloud”, caching will be disabled too?
Yes, because the grey cloud resolves your hosts directly to your server, bypassing Cloudflare and its cache.

Pause isn’t temporary (requires your action to go back to active). Dev Mode does have a timer and will go back to live if you forget to turn it off.
