Cloudfare with LetsEncrypt

What is the name of the domain?

https://caligomundi.com/

What is the issue you’re encountering

AutoSSL from LetsEncrypt giving error with Cloudflare

Was the site working with SSL prior to adding it to Cloudflare?

Yes

What is the current SSL/TLS setting?

Full

What are the steps to reproduce the issue?

I have a very old website. When SSL became a thing, I used LetsEncrypt to handle the SSL. Recently we started getting DDoSed and I added Cloudflare to mitigate it.
Since doing so I’m now getting an error from AutoSSL:
(I’ve removed URLs because it wont let me post them on account of being a new user)

AutoSSL did not renew the certificate for “(URL)”. You must take action to keep this site secure. The “LetsEncrypt” AutoSSL provider could not renew the SSL certificate without a reduction of coverage because of the following problems:
:no_entry: (URL) (checked on Jun 9, 2026 at 12:42:48 AM UTC)
DNS DCV: No local authority: “(URL)”; HTTP DCV: The system queried for a temporary file at “(URL)”, but the web server responded with the following error: 403 (Forbidden). A DNS (Domain Name System) or web server misconfiguration may exist. The domain resolved to an IP address “(IP address)” that does not exist on this server.

How can I resolve this? I don’t really know much about SSL or Cloudflare so looking for a minimal fix to get this working again.

I have no idea why most of that is in bold, sorry about that. I don’t seem to be able to edit the post to fix it.
