Cannot create API token - Authentication error (Code: 10000)

Thank you. Here you go:

Ticket Number: 2334085

https://support.cloudflare.com/hc/en-us/requests/2334085

Thanks, I’ve escalated that ticket.

This is my support ticket for the same problem!
https://support.cloudflare.com/hc/en-us/requests/2333037

My account is new and I wouldn’t lose any sleep from having to delete it and start a new account from scratch. What are the chances that would solve the problem quicker than going through support?

You can try that. It will likely be tomorrow that Support see the escalation and it may be a day or two to pass it to the right teams. I’m not really sure how long it will take, to be honest.

Can you please report back here if deleting and recreating your account fixes the issue?

I assume I would need to move my domains off to somewhere else to do this?

I would do that right away, but according to the guide on how to delete ones account the email address used will be blocked from creating a new account for up to a year. That shouldn’t be that big a hurdle, but my ocd (not really) kicked in a little bit at the thought of using a different email for cloudflare and only cloudflare, so I’ll probably leave this until after the holidays.

I am not able to generate tokens.
When I go to the “Get your API token” link, I see a red “Authentication error (Code: 10000)” on the bottom.
Please advise how I can fix this.

Thanks

@CarlC I merged your post to this topic where the issue has been reported before. I’d recommend following the advice above:

Would someone please take the time to explain how one does that?

@user15357 these are both covered in the Help Center here:

https://support.cloudflare.com/hc/en-us/articles/203118044-Gathering-information-for-troubleshooting-sites

My Ticket is #2334155 (https://support.cloudflare.com/hc/requests/2334155)

My ticket number is 2334167 ( https://support.cloudflare.com/hc/requests/2334167)

Thanks, I’ve added all your ticket numbers to the escalation.

I appreciate you escalating it, but I’m not confident the people handling it understand the issue.
I’m being asked to provide an embed code for a video on my site, and video ID???
I have none of these, and I don’t see how that can have anything to do with authentication errors on Cloudflare itself.
Am I missing something???

Thanks

That is… umm… interesting and does seem irrelevant. @cf_user1 are you able to check #2334167 and see what the reply is all about?

Does seem odd and I am unable to get in to the account to attempt to reproduce it atm, looking elsewhere…

Ah, was just a tab confusion on the reply @CarlC, sorry about that.

I am looking at a handful of tickets with that error, appears to be thrown for a number of different failures, but will read through them…quick scan of a dozen point to a cache issue generally with a suggestions of clear your cache and try a different browser or incognito mode - I see a number of reports of that not working, however, and no reports of success. I also see the team notified the engineering team to investigate. Similar symptoms so I have added myself to that ticket as well to keep an eye out on progress. Team is aware of the issue and really sorry for the problems.

This seems to be working for me now. Thank you for everyone’s help in getting this fixed!

Works for me as well, thank you and merry christmas!

I also have a support ticket for the same problem
