All apps on Android

Hi All,

I have installed a warp client and enabled zero trust on my android phone. Apparently, it seems like none of the applications can connect while zero-trust is on. However, websites via chrome browser works fine. I have made sure the cloudflare CA root CA certificate is installed on my phone.

Any ideas why all apps not working??

Were you able to resolve this @rutvij.brahmbhatt1?

Hi @cf_user1 - not really but what i have noticed is cloudflare does not honor the certificate pickup when things are accessed from the applications hence TLS inspection fails on CF. When things are accessed from browser CF warp successfully pick up the correct cert to be sent which then goes through the correct inspection process on CF and works.

It seems the issue might be with how the Warp client handles app traffic on your Android device under Zero Trust. Here are a few steps to troubleshoot:

  • Application Rules: Ensure the Android apps are allowed in your Zero Trust policies.
  • Split Tunneling: Check if Android apps need to bypass Zero Trust via split tunneling.
  • DNS Settings: Verify if DNS configurations align with Zero Trust requirements for Android.
  • Certificate Trust: Confirm the Cloudflare root CA certificate is fully trusted on your Android device.

If the issue persists, check the logs in the Cloudflare dashboard or contact their support team.
