What steps have you taken to resolve the issue?

Got an email from Cloudflare that my zone was deleted, and that “If the zone was deleted by mistake, you can add the zone back to reinstate existing configuration of the zone.” I re-added the domain, which now shows with status ‘Pending nameservers.’ However, when go to the DNS tool, it shows no records, and the DNS servers are different than shown in Whois (though all are xxx.ns.cloudflare.com). Shall I enter the DNS records as they were before, or is there something else I should do to reinstate the existing config?

The domain is currently active and working, using Cloudflare Registrar and the same nameservers as it has used for many years…

Check that you are using the correct account for your domain and it is where the domain registration is held. If the account says the domain is pending and offering alternate nameservers it is likely not the correct one.
