Hello Cloudflare Community,

I’m trying to add my domain suenosmusicfestival.com to Cloudflare, but I keep encountering the following error:

“The zone name provided is subject to a hold which disallows the creation of this zone.”

Steps I’ve Taken So Far:
Checked WHOIS Information – The domain is active and registered with GoDaddy.
Verified GoDaddy Settings – The domain lock is OFF, and there are no pending holds or transfer restrictions.
Attempted to Contact Cloudflare Support – However, I am on the free plan and unable to submit a support ticket.
Confirmed No Other Cloudflare Account Usage – The domain has not been used with any other Cloudflare account (to my knowledge).
Questions:
Is there a way to check if this hold is Cloudflare-imposed, and how can I request its removal?
Has anyone encountered a similar issue, and what was the resolution?
Should I wait a certain period before trying again, or is there an alternative solution?
I’ve attached redacted screenshots of my GoDaddy dashboard showing that the domain is active and unlocked, along with the Cloudflare error message. Any help would be greatly appreciated!

Attaching the redacted GoDaddy page as well confirming that no domain lock is active.

Customers on every plan type can open Account, Billing and Registrar tickets.

None of that really matters when just adding a site to cloudflare, those details do matter when transferring a domain registration.

Even if it’s new to you, it’s been around for a while so may have used/is using Cloudflare.

The only. way you’ll be able to add it is by having that zone hold removed and you’ll need to do that via a ticket.

When you complete the form you need to select Account. We cannot help with Account, Billing nor Registrar issues here. LMK if you continue to have any issues in submitting the form.

Follow these steps to kick off an Account ticket, login, go to Support → Contact cloudflare, you’ll end up here, https://dash.cloudflare.com/?to=/:account/support

Select Account on the next screen and and work your way top to bottom and then to the second page in order to create the ticket.

I’ve attempted on two accounts with paid subscriptions as well as this account to get ahold of Cloudflare support. Every time I click My Activities it takes me back to the dashboard and I am unable to view any of my open cases.

On one occasion they reached out with a TXT record for me to update but did not follow up once I confirmed the new record. It’s been 48hrs.
