Zone lockdown rule works for some subdomains but not the others

Hi all,

I have a Zone Lockdown rule set up for multiple sub domains and it works fine for some subdomains and not the others. All subdomains are listed in the same lockdown rule. These sub domains are pointing to basically same webapp infrastructure but on different servers (DEV and Staging). So the rule works fine for Staging subdomains but not Development. What might be the case?

Hope somebody can point me to the right direction. Thanks in advance.

How does the rule look like?

Hey, thanks for quick response. The rule looks like this:

That looks good to me
I assume the dev. domains are proxied? (:orange:)?
Btw, you should consider adding an asterisk at the end of each URL.

Ideas?

Are asterisks supported in this context?

Also, not sure if it would make a difference but it mentions IP ranges, not individual addresses. So a single address might require a β€œ/32”.

Single addresses without /xx work.

I meant the initial issue, where some of the domains are protected and others not. :-/ Sorry for the confusion.

Then it should work, assuming of course the OP didnt specify private addresses

Your subdomains which are not working are not :orange: in the DNS control panel and so are not being proxied by Cloudflare.

I knew it.
Thank you!

That’s right, thanks a lot! The domains were in cloudflare admin panel, but marked as DNS only, not proxied.
