Zero Trust Certificates / Edge Certificates / Root Server (origin) Certificates

turnkeymsp.net, mytechsolutions.net, scafidi.org

What is the error number?

N/A

What is the error message?

What is the issue you’re encountering

I’m not sure how the zero-trust certificate works, if I can only use it on my servers, or if I also have to give each legitimate user a certificate/configure WARP to access the account. I have certificates for all of these accounts already, plus the edge certificates that get auto generated. I’m not sure how zero trust certificates work, the costs, and/or the benefits with other certificates/if it would block public access to public resources.

What steps have you taken to resolve the issue?

Read the documentation, reviewed my current zero trust certificate, went through the support troubleshooter, and posted to the community.

Was the site working with SSL prior to adding it to Cloudflare?

Yes

What is the current SSL/TLS setting?

Full (strict)

What are the steps to reproduce the issue?

None

Hi @user351,

The Cloudflare Zero Trust certificate is only necessary to enable specific Cloudflare Zero Trust features, and should only be done at the direction of your IT department.

If you require the certificate to enable specific ZT features, you can follow this documentation to Install certificate using WARP.

The ZT root certificate would need to be installed on all your client machines and there is no additional costs for this certificate.
