'Your Connection Is Not Private' error message

Can someone please help with my website daatc.com please?

I installed Cloudflare yesterday, along with moving my website to a new hosting company, but are getting the ‘Your Connection Is Not Private’ error message when I try to access the website.

I raised a support ticket with the hosting technical support, but they say everything is fine at their end and said to check with Cloudflare. Their reply is below:

'I can see your site daatc.com is loading securely over https://daatc.com for us here. The SSL cert in place on your domain issued by Cloudflare as per SSL Checker

I guess that error could have occurred due to the browser cache on your side, so please try to access again after clearing browser cache and see if this works fine there. If the issue persists, please contact Cloudflare support to get rid of this since your domain traffic goes through their system.’

I know it is likely to be a setting I have wrong in Cloudflare, but I have tried everything within my technical knowledge to resolve it, but with no success.

I am hoping one of you guys may be able to spot my mistake.

Many thanks

Two issues here.

  1. This message is because of a propagation issue and you are not connecting to Cloudflare yet. Wait a couple of hours and you will
  2. Your server is not configured to serve your site on HTTPS. You need to contact your host and get a properly valid certificate configured for your domain.

Thanks Sandro for the prompt reply. I will contact my support team to ask about a valid certificate.

As long as it is publicy trusted (plus Cloudflare’s own CA) you can use any certificate you like on your server. Paid and free.

Free options would be either letsencrypt.org or Cloudflare’s own origin certificates → https://support.cloudflare.com/hc/en-us/articles/115000479507-Managing-Cloudflare-Origin-CA-certificates

Thank you again Sandro. I will see what the Hosting guys say first, then explore the options you suggest if I need to.
