What is the issue you’re encountering

Wrong price for transfer of domain

What steps have you taken to resolve the issue?

I tried contacting domain support, but I don’t think my request was accepted. Case 01362800

What are the steps to reproduce the issue?

I have transferred one domain from GoDaddy to cloudflare at the correct price, I have registered a new with cloudflare at the correct price. Two domains currently at Godaddy show a price over $11 to transfer in and these domains should be price below $1. I simply want cloudflare to fix the transfer price for my two external domains to reflect the correct price transfer price so that I no longer have an external registrar. I note that .xyz domains with number value greater then 6 and below 9 should be less then $1 and reflect a premium label like the two domains that are registered with cloudflare.

Sounds like a cheap Namecheap deal?

I am afraid those prices aren’t true prices, therefrom if you’re transfering to Cloudflare you pay the real price, not the “auction” nor “discounted” at least as far as I know for any existance of discounted price(s) for domains at Cloudflare Registrar.

Could be I am wrong about it and there might actually be some discounts or price difference for “domain name character length”, however yet I haven’t experienced this at Cloudflare Registrar for domains which I’ve registered.

I think this applies to everyone and was not a one off.

I registered a couple of names with a company Godaddy bought and Godaddy continues to have this pricing. CF always showed transfer as unavailable until last month. So last month I moved one name that was showing as less then $1. One of my names had just renewed which I think might cause me to not gain a year for transfer. But the two that remained at Godaddy have shown a price to transfer over $11, before transfer was unavailable as these domains were treated as premium. Last month directly from CF I registered a brand new domain for less then $1. Before I posted, I found someone in November had the same issue and CF resolved it for them. I can’t post to that string as it’s closed. I am sure it’s an internal CF issue as two of my domains have the correct price and two do not, all follow the same naming convention from the link I included above. I do know for the first couple of years that CF has had domain registration service they said they could not handle premium domains. Recently they fixed the issue and that is why I have two domains show as premium for less then $1 and two that do not but should. My understanding, this is the normal price and Godaddy charges less than $1.5 per domain renewal.
