Wrong IP location in Cloudflare firewall

Hello,

I just noticed that the Cloudflare firewall shows the wrong country for an ip address.
In the firewall log I see country “Portugal”, which is wrong.

I also checked your country database from maxmind. https://www.maxmind.com/
There the ip is correctly located in “Germany”.

Where can I report this issue? I only use the Cloudflare free plan, so I can’t create any ticket.

Have you checked via multiple sources like ipinfo.io, etc.?

Furthermore, the ISP might have multiple regions per IP ranges.

Otherwise, some old data might get pulled and showed, somehow as for example IP leasing/new IP range purchased, etc.?

You could try to send an an e-mail to support[at]cloudflare[dot]com from your e-mail associated with your Cloudflare account.

thank you for your respone. I checked multiple databases the most are pointing to Germany.
I also checked on https://www.wieistmeineip.de/ . On this webpage the location is toggeling between Germany and Portugal. I think there is some problem on the internet provider side. I will contact them.

Sadly this doesn’t work. I immedeatly get an email in return which ask me to open my ticket over the webpage.

As per https://support.cloudflare.com/hc/en-us/articles/200168236-Configuring-Cloudflare-IP-Geolocation#12345683, if Maxmind shows it as something different to Cloudflare then you’ll need to open a support ticket.

You are right. The Maxmind webpage shows the correct information. Only Cloudflare shows the wrong information.

Sadly I can’t find any possebilty to open an ticket with the free plan. The ticket gets closed immediately.
So I’m not able to report this problem to Cloudflare.
