Wrong IP geolocation

Hello,

My IPv6 is geo-located as CN (China) and thus access to certain sites is blocked. Sample rejected Ray ID: 6731225f1bcd3d36.

Please could you update the geo-location for the following IPv6 blocks to HK (Hong Kong)?

2001:df1:801::/48
2402:a7c1::/32

It’s the IPv6 block used by LeaseWeb Hong Kong.

Depends on which geodatabase they use, one IP address can have different result. I have seen Singapore, Hong Kong and China upon checking with different IP lookup tool.

But, I will escalate your request to the Cloudflare team and see how they respond.

Hi there,

As @erictung mentioned, there is a variety of GeoDB databases that may be used and it is up to the owner of these IP ranges to keep them updated. Such providers, such as MaxMind allow for changes to be requested. Therefore, I’d recommend contacting your network/hosting provider to either update such GeoDBs or request an update yourself. I’m afraid that we can’t change this internally.
