I previously registered a domain with SSL from Cloudflare. I use nginx. Now I registered another domain for someone else and set it up on my own server (both domain are in same server) and before adding certificate for second domain, https WORKS WITH MY CERTIFICATE (private and public key). Why can I use any certificate for any website?

That depends on the software you use. Most (if not all) software you use should check the certificate for their hostnames and does other validity checks. If your newly added domain was behind Cloudflare, then maybe Cloudflare did issue an SSL/TLS certificate before you opened the site. Otherwise, do you have an example that clarifies where the certificate might come from or which certificate was actually used?
