Wrong A record

What is the name of the domain?

ief(dot)al

What is the issue you’re encountering

The domain’s DNS is managed by Cloudflare. The DNS for the domain is configured ok and the A record points to my server. I haven’t made any changes in a while and I just checked and everything is OK. But every now and then the DNS publishes an incorrect A Record. The IP that is mistakenly given as the A Record is 208.91.112.55 and belongs to fortinet.com What is the cause?

What feature, service or problem is this related to?

Nameservers

The networks, that are doing this, appears to be running security products from Fortinet on their networks.

For some reason, the Fortinet security products seem to have flagged your domain name for something, that they (Fortinet) do not like, and therefore, their security products are blocking access to your domain name.

If you want to dig deeper in to the reason behind this, you will need to contact Fortinet..

Thank you for the answer. But I have another question:
Why does this happen cyclically?
It happens by itself and fixes itself.
I noticed it by checking DNS Propagation but I also found it directly on the computer as a result of my ISP’s intervention.

You’d need to talk to the security vendors who have flagged the domain. Cloudflare still returns the correct address. but services utilizing the fortinet or other security lists are blocking access to a security risk the services they subscribed to have flagged. The vendors maintaining those lists would need to provide the reason as to why.
