`wrangler tail` fails after an hour

Is wrangler tail something that is meant to be able to run indefinitely? I’m using version 2.20.0 on a Pi with Raspbian GNU/Linux 9.13 (stretch), and it seemed to exit without error after an hour or so of running. As far as I know there was no shortage of memory or CPU.

After that I used cron to check if wrangler has crashed. If it does, the cron script restarts it. But after two weeks, the wrangler process stopped logging without dying, and that fooled my script into thinking wrangler was still logging.

I could account for that too, but for future reference, is Logpush the more reliable way to go?
