Worker build stuck in queue - "Unable to verify Worker"

What is the issue or error you’re encountering

A build for this worker is stuck in Queued status with message “Build initialization failed: unable to verify Worker”. I can’t seem to cancel the build, and triggering a new build just gets another added to the queue. The stuck build has a decrementing negative duration.

What steps have you taken to resolve the issue?

I have tried canceling the build (multiple times) and I have tried triggering a new build.
When I cancel the build, it shows as “Canceled” but continues to behave as though it is queued (and continues to provide the option “Cancel Build”).

Hey, sorry for the issue. There was an incident our side which caused this:

It should now be resolved.

Since there’s still the problem of the older build being “Stuck”, how do I definitively cancel it so I can launch a new build using the fix?

RIght now, if I retry a build it goes back into the infinite-queue state,
