Wordpress website dead, gives error 403

Hi guys.

Just recently I changed my wordpress website (http://tomasoliveira.pt) to https, based on this process:
https://www.wptorc.com/install-ssl-Cloudflare-really-simple-ssl/

I did the normal procedures:

  1. Register website on cloudfare
  2. Change nameservers on host provider
  3. Change SSL/TLS settings to full
  4. Wait for plugin to recognize valid ssl certificate in Admin dashboard
  5. Activate said ssl certificate

However, the website is now dead, giving error 403. I can’t seem to revert it or either access admin panel.

Any help would be appreciated.

Thanks,

It seems your DNS records do not include an A record. You need to go to Cloudflare Dashboard > DNS and make sure there is one A record pointing to the IP address of your origin server (hosting provider), and a CNAME record with name “www” and value “tomasoliveira.pt”.

After you add these records, wait a few minutes until they are propagated. You can check it here: DNS Propagation Checker - Global DNS Testing Tool

Also, did your website have SSL before adding it to Cloudflare? If not, you must use Flexible for now, then later you can add a Let’s Encrypt or another SSL cert to your origin and upgrade it to Full or Full (strict).

No it did not.

I’ll try doing what you said.

Thanks for your help!
