Hi, I was wondering if I have to install the Cloudflare WP plugin for my wordpress site to use the Cloudflare CDN, or not.
You don’t need the plugin. It just lets you control a few features from WordPress, but it does tap into a few Cloudflare hooks that might help:
It can push a few resources early in the load.
It will purge the Cloudflare Cache for certain updates.
It lets you use the new APO caching that everyone’s talking about.
But I suggest you don’t click on the “Hey, let’s optimize a bunch of Cloudflare settings for you.” It might change some settings you’ve already set to your needs.
Alright, thanks for clarifying.
