Wordpress Admin Page Error

What is the name of the domain?

What is the issue you’re encountering

Wordpress Admin Pages “Widgets” and “Customize” Broken

What steps have you taken to resolve the issue?

Dear Sirs,

I have deactivate wordpress plugins and theme, but no way to work right.

Just after turning off cloudflare cache it returned to work.

Tried to create a rule to wordpress admin pages, but didn´t work, as i noticed that all wordpress admin pages are all BYPASS cache by default.

In annex goes a picture of the error at browser.

How can i fix this?

Thanks and Regards,
Tony

Was your WordPress upgraded lately?

Could you try just pausing Cloudflare?

  • Use the “Pause Cloudflare on Site” option from the Overview tab for your domain at dash.cloudflare.com .
  • The link is in the lower right corner of that page.

Also, try to clear the cache at Cloudflare dashboard for your domain by navigating to the Caching tab → Purge Everything.

Dear fritex,

Thanks by your reply!

First i have purged everything as you said.

Then i paused Cloudflare on site.

Just after pause, pages “Widgets” and “Customize” returned to load right.

Regards,
Tony

I need to Cloudflare to be enabled…

I have also downgrade to wordpress 6.6.2, but without success…

If it works when Paused, might be Rocket Loader feature is in conflict with some scripts

Try clearing your Web browser cache, cookies and data.
Use Incognito Mode to Login into WordPress admin.

I have to admit I am not seeing this on approx. ~ 70 WordPress websites which I manage, and are using Cloudflare.

Before moving to Cloudflare, was your Website working over HTTPS connection?

May I ask what SSL option have you got selected under the SSL/TLS tab at Cloudflare dashboard for your domain ( Flexible, Full, Full Strict … )?

Hi @fritex,

Thank you by all support! This is a very strange situation!

Rocket Loader was deactivate here… thanks by it, i have activated!

Browser cache, cookies and data cleaned and used incognito mode also…

About the https, yes, before cloudflare, was https enabled already…

Ssl was Full Strict, i have tested Full, Flexible and off…

No way to work… Now i noticed that my edit posts pages also doesn´t work… :smiling_face_with_tear:

Well, I cannot say what it is actually going on here, however you’re the 2nd or 3rd person using Cloudflare and reporting WordPress is broken, and that comes after the upgrade to 6.7

There are thousands more using Cloudflare and were already upgraded, even on Bluehost, or WP Engine, Kinsta … so I cannot blame Cloudflare here.

See comments from others as well due to the upgrade:

Might be that 6.7 broke the World

If you navigate to the Cloudflare dashboard, go to Security tab → Events, do you see any of requests/events containing your IP address or your server IP address and being blocked or challenged?

You’ve got any error in the Developer Tools (F12) → Console or Network tab?

Yes, that is crazy!

not my ip neither server ip…

The same here…

@fritex Thanks anyway!

I will wait for some solution…

Thank you for feedback.

I can see you’re using origin cache, and also Wordpress Litespeed cache and QUIC cache?

x-litespeed-cache: hit
<!-- Page cached by LiteSpeed Cache 6.5.2 on 2024-11-15 09:21:22 -->
<!-- QUIC.cloud UCSS in queue -->

Could you please ask your hosting provider to clear and flush this cache too in the meantime just to be sure there’s nothing “old” left anywhere anymore?

Also clear LiteSpeed cache and QUIC as well → maybe this is the issue if it’s served under proxied :orange: hostname.

Have you tried disabling all plugins, then re-enabling one by one?

Neverthless, from your screenshot above it looks like CSS is broken somehow.

I’ll see into the coming weekend and test out. Wonder if I could get it borken as well or not after I upgrade few of mine, and how to proceed further despite I’ve provided suggestions which should help at least at one point.

I am sorry to hear this happen to you. I’ll do my best to troubleshoot further from my WordPress instances. Hopefully to manage to get back with some more helpful feedback. Thank you for patience

Hi @fritex

I thank you for your patience and help!

Could you please ask your hosting provider to clear and flush this cache too in the meantime just to be sure there’s nothing “old” left anywhere anymore?

I have done these steps:
1- Cleaned all cache of litespeedcache
2- Imediatelly disable all plugins
3- Imediatelly purge everything at Cloudflare dashboard.
4- Cleaned browser cache/cookies/data
5- Accessed wordpress admin page and the problem still persists.

I can see you’re using origin cache, and also Wordpress Litespeed cache and QUIC cache?

Wordpress admin pages are not served by cache and Cloudflare is BYPASS by default:

QUIC.cloud UCSS is to generate unique css for posts.

For Cloudflare options, i tried to disable security level, optimizations, and page rules (cache everything)…

Tried different browsers, admin users…

Unfortunatelly the only way to these 3 pages (Widgets/Customize/Post Edit Pages) work is pausing Cloudflare.

From the last screenshot, wonder why there are 30 warnings and errors in the Console?

And none of the extensions for your Web browser is blocking anything, correct?

And none of the extensions for your Web browser is blocking anything, correct?

I have disabled all for testing, it isn´t that.

From the last screenshot, wonder why there are 30 warnings and errors in the Console?

It was having a problem with 2 files called:

  • select2.min.js
  • select2.min.css

I have used wp_enqueue_script and wp_enqueue_style to add both at page, so the warnings came to 6 now:

Hm  Have you tried enabling the debugging your WordPress?

Hm  Have you tried enabling the debugging your WordPress?

yes!

debug.log file with no data…

Also confirmed that php.ini has display_errors to ‘on’

As the problem is in wp admin, i looked a way to have admin panel in a subdomain…

I have created following some tutorials, but also post edit pages got broken…

Too difficult to understand the errors… CORS´s problems… :worried:

All my websites are working fine after upgrade to wordpress 6.7

Just this one here that is at cloudflare is not…

It would be so good if someone from technical support could say something…

I need cloudflare!
