WordPress Admin Area Cached and Cf-Edge-Cache Issues on https://design109.net

Hello Cloudflare Community,

I’m encountering persistent caching issues with the WordPress admin area on my site, https://design109.net, even after setting a Page Rule to bypass cache for *design109.net/wp-admin*. Additionally, I observe inconsistent behaviors with the Cf-Edge-Cache header showing no-cache for admin pages, but the caching behavior suggests otherwise. These issues hinder my ability to navigate between admin tabs or see updates without performing a Cloudflare cache purge.

Key Points:

  • A Page Rule is set to bypass cache for the WordPress admin area, yet caching behavior persists.
  • Cf-Edge-Cache: no-cache is observed for admin pages, but real-world caching behavior contradicts this.
  • Frequent cache purges are required to reflect changes in the admin area, impacting site management efficiency.

Environment Information:

  • Website: https://design109.net
  • WordPress Version: 6.4.3
  • Cloudflare Plan: Free
  • Cloudflare APO for WordPress: Not in use
  • Other Plugins: WP Super Cache, Autoptimize (notably, caching is disabled for logged-in users through WP Super Cache settings)

I’ve taken steps such as purging Cloudflare’s cache, ensuring the Page Rule is prioritized, and checking server-side caching settings. Despite these efforts, the issue remains unresolved.

Has anyone faced similar issues or can offer insights into what might be going wrong? Any advice on resolving these caching inconsistencies and ensuring the WordPress admin area remains unaffected by Cloudflare’s cache would be greatly appreciated.

Thank you for your time and support.

Best regards,
