WooCommerce legitimate customers failed too often, unknown error state

About 20% of our customers are receiving an error on the checkout page

What steps have you taken to resolve the issue?

For about a month, removed old solution

And added CF Turnstile using this plugin

Tried Managed, Non interactive and invisible, no change. Still multiple customers call saying they cannot checkout.

We have reverted back to another solution and would be willing to test the CF Turnstile integration again on staging perhaps.

What are the steps to reproduce the issue?

We cannot reproduce.

You need to contact the author of the WordPress Turnstile plugin you’re using for assistance, not Cloudflare.

Thank you! Could you please recommend an alternative, or better integration method rather than plugins? We’d prefer less of them, certainly

I use “Simple Cloudflare Turnstile” by Elliot Sowersby on a bunch of WordPress sites (with and without WooCommerce) and never had any issues: https://wordpress.org/plugins/simple-cloudflare-turnstile/

Your mileage may differ, though.

A “plugin” is just WordPress’s way of packaging 3rd-party code into a WordPress site.

If you don’t want to use someone else’s plugin, perhaps you can build your own or find some other way to include your custom code (eg in your active theme’s functions.php file).

Here’s Cloudflare’s documentation: https://developers.cloudflare.com/turnstile/get-started/. But you also need to know the appropriate WordPress and WooCommerce hooks to use to be able to invoke the Turnstile widget at the desired locations.
