Windfirmphotography.com’s server IP address could not be found. DNS_PROBE_FINISHED_NXDOMAIN

Getting weird set of errors, the tech over at wpengine is also baffled.

The Name Servers are setup (and hasn’t changed in a month)… and Cloudflare is setup and hasn’t changed in a month. The site went down on Sunday I think.

I attached screenshots of both the Name Servers setup (at dotster.com) and the DNS setup (at Cloudlfare.com) . I also attached a screenshot of my stats from Cloudflare which shows the traffic drying up yesterday…

Any suggestions on how to troubleshoot?

WPEngine suggested I reach out to Cloudflare btw… but I don’t know how to get support at Cloudflare other than post here

here is my name server setup

I’m guessing it’s #4 in this tip, Community Tip - Fixing the DNS PROBE FINISHED NXDOMAIN error

Here is my DNS setup @ Cloudflare… I have dev mode on, have purged everything, and, even turned off the proxy (I have on DNS only)
15%20AM

cloonan, thanks for the idea… I posted my screenshot below, and there is the A record for the naked domain (it just has the domain name, no www, right??) . I think that is correct!

You have develpement mode active, can you deactivate that from your overview tab?

Next, on your dns tab, can you click the :grey: next to the two A records, one called www and one called windfirmphotography.com, clicking will turn :grey: to :orange:.

Wanted to make sure we address this as well, to contact Cloudflare Customer Support, login & go to https://dash.cloudflare.com/?account=support and select get more help. Here’s a bit of background on Cloudflare Support for reference:

https://support.cloudflare.com/hc/en-us/articles/200172476-How-do-I-report-a-bug-to-Cloudflare-

Thanks cloonan… I did both of those things (or, undid them

I also put in a support ticket and the got back to me quickly, said something was wrong with my NS records at dotster… still investigating

Got it, thank you. I see the note, can you reply back and let the engineer know you’re still having issues?

Whois results indicate your zone is subject to https://icann.org/epp#clientHold this is most common when your zone has expired. Whatever the cause your registrar should be able to assist you as they set the flag.
