I got a SSL for my domain on Cloudflare, but when I log in to my website,it still show “unsafe”,what is wrong with that?
And then I click the button “Always Use HTTPS”, I can not get access to my website, what happened?
Was your site secure before? If not, then that’s the issue and you first need to secure your server.
What’s the domain?
I just installed wordpress on the server and haven’t published anything in it yet
In that case you best pause Cloudflare on the Overview screen and make sure your site loads fine on HTTPS. If it does not, you need to contact your host. Once it loads fine, it will also work on Cloudflare.
thank you for reply
how to make sure my site loads fine on HTTPS?shoul I write someting in Apache document?
That’s something your host needs to do for you.
I buy a domain on goddady and buy a vps on Linode
I built the site with command line
In that case you need to contact the person who is maintaining the server.
Should that be you by any chance, then I’d first recommend to get a managed service.
Running your own server without the necessary experience, usually is a recipe for a compromised machine which takes part in a jolly round of distributed denial of service fun.
If you want to learn about server administration, it’s much better to do that with a local instance.
That being said, you will need to configure your web server accordingly and the web server documentation should point you in the right direction. If there’s something you need to clarify, it’s best to do that on a forum dedicated to your server software or StackExchange or Reddit.
