Why CriOS instead of Chrome?

Hi, everyone. Why do some user agents contain CriOS instead of Chrome?

A simple googling of CriOS with keyword “crios user agent” shows me this link:

Thanks. I saw that before. Most are shown as Chrome. Why some are shown as CriOS? My direct traffic doubled again. Out of control. A large proportion of it is using CriOS.

From what I read, CriOS is basically Google Chrome running on iOS. Not sure why you have large number of Chrome iOS traffic, something that I can’t answer.
