Whitelisting admins to access site or at least admin page

System: CentOS / PHP 7.4 / MySQL 5.6 / Expression Engine 5.4 CMS

We are running into blocks since adding managed firewall rules to the site.

When we work in the site’s admin area to add posts or edit templates we hit the security issue where we either have to constantly do the captcha thing, or the form submission is blocked completely. I tried whitelisting IP4 addresses with no success.

Am I missing something? There has to be a way to not be constantly blocked when trying to work on the site?

That’s not typical behavior, unless their IP address has a bad track record. Check your Firewall Event Log for these triggers and see if it explains why they were challenged.
