Where I can update my nameserver -

I should have used another domain & hosting providers all in 1, but here I am.
Can someone please clarify the process how to activate my domain?

I bought a domain directly from Cloudflare then following email.

I tried the tutorials but it’s not clear where I will update these nameservers.

REGISTAR-? WHOIS’ed my domain, there were no results. Then how can i update those NS…
So What should I do?


We could not add XYZ.com to your account because your nameservers (NS) are not yet pointing to Cloudflare.

1. Log into your domain registrar

**2. Update your current nameserver records with the ones we have assigned to XYZ.com

  2. DEF.ns.cloudflare.com

Hi @muratca your audit log, https://dash.cloudflare.com/?to=/:account/audit-log, shows you added the domain to your cloudflare account on 4/22 and at the moment it shows as pending.

Securitytrails shows no history of the domain, icann shows it as not registered, and godaddy offered to sell it to me. There is no billing history in cloudflare showing any purchase, https://dash.cloudflare.com/?to=/:account/billing.

I suspect you added a domain to your account, but that domain is not registered and you never actually purchased the domain.

To purchase a domain, you’d go here https://dash.cloudflare.com/?to=/:account/domains/register and enter the domain name. Once you enter the domain, if it’s available you’d go through the purchase process. You’ll receive an email confirmation of the purchase, not the reminder to change nameservers.

Actually I clicked to buy it 2 days ago, I see on my banks portal that the transaction has been pending. There must be a glitch between PayPal/Cloudflare/My Bank

Just in case, I re-purchased the domain → showing now “Active” in the dashboard

I believe I am now the owner and Is all good (DNS names etc) for my domain?

My colleague & I were speculating the same. We have a billing migration going on and we were wondering if that contributed to the oddity…looking now and back in a moment. Sorry for the hassles with this.

I see it as active internally and on your dash. You should be good to go.

Next step would be to add your DNS records to point the domain to your hosting provider. Let us know if you have any questions along the way in doing that. Thank you & sorry for the delays!

Also at my first attempt which was failed , I unmarked “auto-renew”, in case it might cause a sort of bug…

Regarding to the hosting provide, I don’t have any yet. I‘ll try to find a webshosting budget but easy to use, adjust, and that also provide domain email
