Where do business owners start?!

What is the name of the domain?

What is the issue you’re encountering

Google always gives us a bad speed score

What steps have you taken to resolve the issue?

We received the Cloudflare newsletter from time to time, most of which is entirely incomprehensible to us as business owners and seems very technical. I’m sure useful for many of those of you with advanced skills in computer software and coding. We originally signed up for Cloudflare to increase the load speed of our pages. We have optimised images and have a very good web hosting service, but we never seem to achieve a very high Google speed score even after starting to use Cloudflare. We believe that we have set everything up correctly but no where near to receiving the 100% perfect score for Google speed test. What are we doing wrong? We need simple non technical answers please. Many thanks in advance.

I wouldn’t ever suggest you to believe, that you’re actually able to reach 100%.

However, -

You’re loading quite a bit of content, that isn’t coming from (or through) Cloudflare on your website.

However, for the actual content that are going through Cloudflare, I initially did not see various static assets being cached at Cloudflare.

You can try enabling Tiered Cache, which may eventually improve your cache hit rates at a more global scale, and see if that helps.

Thank you very much, this is exactly what we needed. We are a very small business and don’t have massive resources. We had heard that the 100% Google speed test is a bit of a myth! However, we seem to be way off.
