i already install cloudflare from 2 month, the free version on my site

my question is when it’s necessary to install the paid version

I had two paid (Pro) plans for two of my domains. I now use the Free plan. The Free plan is ‘functional’ without (what I miss from Pro plans) a WAF, 10 page rules, extra performance enhancements, etc…
