I always get confused with MX records when changing Nameservers, etc.
So if someone’s hosting and email is at the host (Inmotion) and their registrar is somewhere else (Godaddy) and then I change the nameservers to Cloudflare, is there anything I need to add to the DNS on Cloudflare? Do I need to add an MX or mail entry or does Cloudflare take care of it automatically? Are there any other changes I need to make besides changing the nameservers?
Hi @karen1, When you change your nameservers to Cloudflare’s, it will automatically scan your current DNS records and attempt to add them automatically. You will need to check that these (including the MX records) are pointing to the right place (specified by your host).
