What happens if you proxy DNS records through your own IP address?

Ok, random question: What happens if you proxy your DNS records through your own IP address? Basically (even though it’s not), let’s say my IP is 000.000.00 and then I proxy a record (like an “A” record), through that same IP address, what happens? Do I get an error 1000 or some error of the sort (basically any other 1xxx error)?

That IP address won’t be any different than any other IP address. The proxies will try to connect and send the request to that address.

As always, if your site loads fine on that public IP address, it will also work fine on Cloudflare. Unless you pull some firewall tricks of course

I was told there’s a group of meerkats doing a fantastic job of verifying such connections
