What happens if an A record is deleted?

Hi all,

I’m trying to create a spectrum app for a sub domain because it uses different ports with the same IP. When I try to create the app, I get an error that there is an A record exists with that host which is true. So, if I delete the A record first to be able to create the spectrum app, will there be any interruption in the service? Please, note that the A record is not proxied at the moment
