What DNS to use when domain registrar and hosting provider are different?

My domain is with Godaddy and they have two DNS details by default.

Since I wanted to host it with 1and1.com, I changed the DNS with 1and1 DNS details and it is working fine.

Now, I want to use the Cloudflare and need to change my DNS details with my registrar

So, the problem is, If I change the DNS to Cloudflare, will Godaddy domain will know where it is hosted?

Thank you.

Depends on whether you proxy your site through Cloudflare (:orange:) or not (:grey:) but why would that be a problem in the first place? Apart from using Godaddy as registrar

Thank you for your reply
If I change the DNS details with Cloudflare. Won’t godaddy forget where the site is hosted

What do you mean by “forget”? Your nameservers are currently not with them as far as I understand, right?

If you switch to Cloudflare you need to make sure the DNS records are correctly imported, or otherwise set them to the correct values.
