What is the issue you’re encountering

Website suddenly returning error 1000 seemingly out of nowhere. I do not manage the website but I do manage the DNS records for the domain. I haven’t made any changes to the records recently and was just notified about this error a few days ago.

What steps have you taken to resolve the issue?

I’ve disabled proxying of the A record through cloudflare. Seemed to work for a single day and then broke again.

Additional note:
It seems that the website host also uses Cloudflare for their own domain management. Would both parties having proxying enabled be the cause of this result?

Does it resolves okay when you switch from to (DNS-only)?
Have you cross-checked if the IP address of the server is correct?

It worked for less than a day (and wasn’t even using https). It no longer works.

Yes I spoke with the webhost to ensure the IP is correct. They only thing I haven’t done is also disable proxying for AAAA records.
