I have a redirect rule set up for a website to point to a Carrd website. The redirect is not applying, instead the website goes to the parking page as per the CNAME record
If you want to use the entire domain for Carrd, you don’t even need to setup a Cloudflare Redirect rule for this: the DNS setup is all you need.
Just point the naked domain goweddingsleads.com to the IP address provided by Carrd (A record), and have a CNAME record pointing www back to the naked domain – making sure both records are unproxied (ie DNS Only ). See Carrd’s instructions below.
Right now, it seems the domain is still pointed to your Registrar’s parking page.
That means you’ve not configured the domain in your Carrd account. So the next step is to go to Carrd.co and complete the setup there.
Note that my suggestion was about properly setting up your custom domain for Cardd, so that your visitors will see your domain name goweddingsleads.com in their browser’s address bar all the time – rather than the default address like example.carrd.co.
You used “redirect” a couple of times here. If you simply want to redirect your domain to Carrd – so that your users will end up seeing the default Carrd address like example.carrd.co in their browser (and not your own domain), then ignore my suggestion above and, instead:
Change the Proxy status back to Proxied (and you want to use the dummy IP address 192.0.2.1 instead)
Provide a screenshot of your Cloudflare Redirect Rule page (not DNS page) as requested by @sjr.
Hi George, I want to redirect goweddingsleads[dot]com to weddingsleads[dot]com. My goal is a redirect and I want users to ultimately see “weddingsleads.com” in the URL bar when they enter https://goweddingsleads.com/.
