Website ping response time slow with cloudflare enable

Suddenly my ping response time is is increased using Cloudflare cdn. not sure why it has happen. previously it was 58ms from Bangladesh now it is more than 250ms always. I have provided ping trace route below. any idea what has happened suddenly? my host cloudways said that they have no issue from their site, it is Cloudflare routing issue and not optimized.

any help would be greatly appreciated. currently i have paused my both website digitalvisionbd and banglashoppers

Your ISP appears to route you via Sweden.

What does say?

Thanks when i click on the link it says the following…

uag=Mozilla/5.0 (Windows NT 10.0; Win64; x64) AppleWebKit/537.36 (KHTML, like Gecko) Chrome/72.0.3626.81 Safari/537.36

So it actually is Los Angeles. Your ISP probably has changed something in its routing.

i’m from Bangladesh and it should route via singapore as before and my hosting server is also at google cloud in singapore. the IP cloudlflare using is and this one says sanfrancisco so definitely from bangladesh my isp will route through LAx. correct me if i’m wrong my friend.

The IP address does not matter The issue is your ISP routes you to the US instead of the closest datacentre.

I understand, but my isp is working without any issue with other site hosted in singapore. it is hosted in singapore check it is super fast now, as soon as i activate Cloudflare it will be super slow on ping response time. I have checked almost 10 isps in bangladesh and all seems to be same. may it is different in my case? please help if there could be something else beside my isp issue as all isp cannot route in wrong way suddenly from Bangladesh.

Whether your ISP works with other sites is irrelevant in this context. Your ISP should route this IP address to the nearest datacentre and it does not. Thats the issue.

I was able to post trace route now, it was blocking me before, any idea after see the complete picture below? if it is really my isp?

Tracing route to []
over a maximum of 30 hops:

1 <1 ms <1 ms <1 ms
2 <1 ms <1 ms <1 ms []
3 <1 ms <1 ms <1 ms []
4 2 ms <1 ms <1 ms []
5 52 ms 51 ms 51 ms []
6 61 ms * 54 ms []
7 251 ms 248 ms 250 ms []
8 297 ms 297 ms 297 ms []
9 281 ms 281 ms 284 ms

Is that not the same traceroute as before?

I had to remove the domain name because of new user it was not allowing me to post domain name so i had to remove the domain name from the traceroute result. now i was able to post it.

The domain is not that much of importance in this context. The point still is your ISP misroutes the IP to the US instead of a closer datacentre.

understood any advise what should i let my isp know about it?

Also do you find optimized from your side? so i can know. can you show me your traceroute result to the domain so i can let me isp know about it?

Contacting your ISP certainly is an option, I somewhat believe this will be fruitless though. What else you could do is open a support ticket and ask if Cloudflare could assign you another address pair which your ISP might route better but I dont think they will be able to help much either, but you can certainly give it a shot.
