There are 2 sets of Cloudflare nameservers resolving for your domain so you may not be logged into the account where the domain is active, but added the domain to another account…

For the zone that is currently active there isn’t a DNS record for www.

If unsure, can you show a screenshot of your whole Cloudflare DNS page, including the bar at the top that looks like this…

Thank you. Seems i do not have an IP address maybe?

i cannot updload the bottom half as a new user. But its just the 2 DS. cosmin.ns.cloudflare.com

You are in the account where the domain is active, so that’s good.

You need a DNS record for www. Either point it at your existing hosting, making sure that is configured to answer for www, or you can redirect www to your domain using Cloudflare. To do that, go here…
https://dash.cloudflare.com/?to=/:account/:zone/rules/redirect-rules
…then press “Templates” and select “Redirect from WWW to Root”.

used the template for all incoming request. Nothing yet. I have godaddy and no dns records are there because its here with cloudflare. i dont have an A record either. Do i need one?

The addition of the rule should have prompted you that you don’t have a DNS record and offered to create one. If not, add one yourself - a proxied AAAA record for www pointing to 100:: as you are just redirecting this hostname.

i added the AAAA record
error changed : DNS_PROBE_FINISHED_NXDOMAIN

www is resolving and redirecting, but you seem to have removed the CNAME for jlwardfirm.com as that’s now not resolving. You need to put that back.

okay i had changed it back to what Google stated. I have now retuned the CNAME to jlwardfirm.com.
All this started when i changed from the old name servers to the new servers.
Would i have better luck adding the older ones back?

i now have 7 records.
AAAA, CNAME, 4-TXT and MX records

Don’t change the nameservers again unless the old ones relate to another account and you can log in to it. Better to fix where you are.

Can you show screenshots of the DNS records and your redirect rule?

Error now is too many redirects. What does it mean it was redirected to a different domain?

My CNAME is an issue. When i toggle proxy off. The CNAME populates on the NSLOOKUP DNS page but nothing else. When it toggle proxy ON. DNS works except the CNAME. what would you advise?

Your redirect rule is set to “all incoming requests”, that’s not how the template for “Redirect from WWW to Root” was - you need to make no changes to this template. Delete the redirect rule and select the template again.

That’s how Cloudflare works, see…
