Dear Community, After transferring the DNS records from Cloudflare to Namecheap, my website doesn`t load. I have deleted the records from Cloudflare but forgot to deactivate the DNSSEC before deleting the entries. Could that be an issue? Cloudflare addresses this topic for importing DNS from other sources: Disable DNSSEC If you are onboarding an existing domain to Cloudflare, make sure DNSSEC is disabled at your registrar (where you purchased your domain name). Otherwise, your domain will experience connectivity errors when you change your nameservers. How can I correct this/ deactivate DNSSEC?
What feature, service or problem is this related to?
Thank you Sandro. I am not sure, since also the guidance from Cloudflare (section Disable DNSSEC) states that the DNSSEC setting should be turned off prior to DNS transfer (which I haven`t done):
I assume, this logic applies for both, transferring DNS to and from Cloudflare. The question is, how can I check, whether my domain has any issue with DNSSEC setting?
DNSSEC should be generally disabled when switching provider, but that is still not Cloudflare related any more at this point but something you need to discuss solely with your registrar or DNS provider.
