Website not loading after functioning for months

Hi folks,

I have been using Cloudfare for a while but for some reason my website will now not load.

Is it possible for anyone to assist me in finding the solution?

I’m not very ‘techy’ so I have no idea how to approach this.

Assuming your server IP address ends in 43, that would be coming straight from your host

$ curl -ik --resolve[IP]
HTTP/2 200
server: Apache/2.4.46 (Unix)
last-modified: Thu, 29 Apr 2021 01:52:52 GMT
etag: "1-5c112c0d04500"
accept-ranges: bytes
content-length: 1
x-hostname: sweb23
content-type: text/html

Additionally, you have a serious security issue on Cloudflare and with your domain as you don’t have a certificate on your server and an insecure encryption mode on Cloudflare.

Is there a solution Sandro?

How can I get my website up and running again?

Also, I was under the impression I had an SSL certidficate with Cloudfare?

My advice would be to pause Cloudflare for now (Overview screen, bottom right) and make sure your site is loading fine on HTTPS without Cloudflare - and only once that is working to unpause Cloudflare again.

You’ll need to talk to your host.

I thought Cloudfare were my host?

Nope, your host is your host, not Cloudflare.

I originally was with a company called 123reg, but then I thought that I’d switched to Cloudfare for my hosting and SSL certificate.

If that’s not the case, could I perhaps not have any hosting at the moment and that’s why the site doesn’t work?

Quite possible that they deactivated your hosting account after you stopped paying them.

I am afraid that’s something you’d need to clarify with them. For now I’d pause Cloudflare and sort that out with the host. Once your site is working again on HTTPS you can unpause.

Does Cloudfare even offer hosting packages?

No, except for highly specialised products likes Sites and Pages there is no general hosting.

OK, thanks
