Website loading very slowly – Possible solution by changing server?

What is the name of the domain?

What is the error number?

What is the error message?

What is the issue you’re encountering

We’re currently facing an issue where our website is loading very slowly, even though we’ve made several optimizations internally. Unfortunately, we haven’t been able to pinpoint the problem, and the loading times are still high. Could it be that the slow loading times are related to the server we’re using? Would the speed improve if we switched to a different server or data center? If so, how can we implement this? We would really appreciate your support in solving this issue.

Alone by loading the front page, -

I transfer around 45,56 MB in 102 requests, which is finishing after ~ 4,95 seconds.

  • Video file on https://www.sylt.de/fileadmin/Pixxio/sylt-12-gemeinden-hd-1080-8000kbps.mp4 takes 36,86 MB.

  • Video file on https://www.sylt.de/fileadmin/Pixxio/sylt-12-gemeinden-hd-1080-8000kbps.mp4 takes 1,57 MB.

  • Image file on https://www.sylt.de/fileadmin/Pixxio/sylt-puk-24peterbender-730.jpg takes 1,50 MB.

That’s alone 39,93 MB of data transfer, that you may be able to optimize, such as e.g. by figuring out when the visitor actually need to load them, and then be loading them selectively at that point, rather than loading them without user interference.

Although the files seems to be cached by Cloudflare, they are still files that your visitor will need to load, - and if your visitor doesn’t have a fast connection (or may be on a mobile network, with bad coverage, et al), it will take some time, to load that amount of data.

Various external assets from www.youtube-nocookie.com do also have quite a bit of size, where to mention one example, https://www.youtube-nocookie.com/s/player/73381ccc/player_ias.vflset/en_US/base.js takes 2,55 MB.
