Each time I enable clouldflare my website seems to go down and becomes inaccessible. Customers get page cannot be found. As soon as I paused Cloudflare the websites is backup and working. Are there are any logs I can check to determine what is causing the website to become inaccessible?
What error do you see? Can you share a screenshot of it?
May I ask you to post and share the URL example to the particular resource in a bracketed dot [.] notation with us so we could double-check, troubleshoot and provide some feedback information reagarding the domain?
Before moving to Cloudflare, was your Website working over HTTPS connection?
May I ask have you tried using a different Web browser, or tried clearing your Web browser cache?
How about using a Private window (Incognito mode) or a VPN connection if possible?
Is it the same behaviour on your mobile phone (4G LTE, mobile data, cellular)?
The website is pharmacyfoundations.[co].[uk]. I did not check the HTTP error code. I wanted to resolve the issue ASAP. In order to resolve it I simple paused Cloudflare on the website. I use platform360 as a part of the monitoring soloution which states:
trying pharmacyfoundations [28] Timeout was reached (Operation timed out after 30001 milliseconds with 0 bytes received)
I wonder if it’s ping by the IP address of your origin host/server, or rather it does some HTTP(S) service type check
Might be you’d have to whitelist the IPs of your monitoring solution and add them at Cloudflare’s IP Access Rules for your zone pharmacyfoundations.co.uk.
Although, if you’re experiencing some Cloudflare error, I’d suggest you to add Cloudflare IPs to your origin host/server firewall and/or share with your hosting provider as follows on the articles from below:
Nevertheless, since your website works okay via HTTPS as far as I can see, may I ask what SSL option have you got selected under the SSL/TLS tab at Cloudflare dashboard for your domain ( Flexible, Full, Full Strict … )?
Here is a way to re-check if you correctly setup the SSL for your domain with Cloudflare:
Last but not least, kindly have a look here for more information regarding correct SSL settings at the SSL/TLS tab on Cloudflare dashboard:
I checked the website and it was down at the time that Cloudflare was enabled. I have now added the IP address of the web server in clouldflare and I have raised a ticket with the hosting company to white list the clouldflare IP addresses on the firewall.
Are there any other checks that I could do which would help to diagnose/fix this issue?
