I haven’t had any issues with netlify and Cloudflare. Now its not loading and im getting a 522 error and other people on the forums are reposting the same thing on netlify. here is the link to that forum. they are saying its on cloudflare end. What steps have you taken to resolve the issue?

i tried changing all records to dns only but it didnt work.

If you temporary enable the “Pause Cloudflare” option, does the Website respond normally via HTTPS or maybe the SSL certificate needs to be renewed?

• Use the “Pause Cloudflare on Site” option from the Overview tab for your domain at dash.cloudflare.com .
• The link is in the lower right corner of that page.

Currently I am unable to test since cannot connect my sub-domain at the moment:

UPDATE: Made it working within 10mins.

CNAME unproxied pointed to app. SSL certificate issued. DNS valid.

Loaded for me over HTTP, but wanted to go to HTTPS and then connection broke.

Is SSL certificate issued at Netlify dashboard for your domain?

Are you having A or CNAME type of the DNS record under the DNS tab of Cloudflare dashboard for your domain name, and is it proxied or unproxied ?

It works fine if i dont use my domain from cloudflare and use netlify

it was proxied before ande worked but now its not working. I turned off and turned on dns only but still nothing

I have no clue yet, neither no idea what happend and why it stopped.

However, as described in the article from another forum, proxy CDN to CDN cannot work. It’s a known issue such as Shopify, etc.

Keep it unproxied (DNS-only).
Give it some time to propagate the changes and then we could check if your Website becomes available again over the HTTPS with an SSL certificate issued from Netlify dashboard for your custom domain.

Alright I’ll update tomorrow. So far nothing with everything to dns only.

I was orgginaly getting a 522 error with my domain and netlify it stopped working randomly. Now the people at netlify recommened deleting the A records and adding cname only but it didnt work either.

Your CNAME @ goes to www which isn’t added here at DNS tab of Cloudflare, while www goes back to the josephdumke.com however, https://josephdumke.com/ is working now.

Seems josephdumke.com CNAME is now okay.

Wonder if CNAME should be pointed to Netlify app as in my case from above or not
