Webpage Test: Effective Use of CDN

I have a Wordpress website. I am new to Cloudflare.

When I run a website speed test at www.webpagetest.org, why am I getting these poor results? I have Cloudflare page rule set up to cache everything for all of my pages.

Thanks!

Use a CDN for all static assets: 40/100

There are 10 more similar links from my Wordpress plugins, but I am limited to two links in a post.

Your site isn’t going through Cloudflare. It’s using Siteground’s DNS and web servers.

Thank you. Do you have any suggestions for how I should resolve this issue?

Here’s how I do it:
https://support.cloudflare.com/hc/en-us/articles/201720164-Creating-a-Cloudflare-account-and-adding-a-website

Per the attached, my domain is registered with Cloudflare. I noticed it says realsugardating.com rather than www. realsugardating.com

m. Would that cause any issues?

Cloudflare Analytics shows the following:

Total requests last 24 hours: 2131

Cached Requests: 32

Uncached Requests: 2099

Why are so many of the requests uncached?

There can be several causes:

  1. The resource isn’t a static file
  2. Rarely-used files don’t stay in Cloudflare cache for very long
  3. Geographically diverse visitors don’t hit the same servers at the same datacenters. Each server has its own cache
  4. Something has disallowed caching for that resource

If you post the domain, we can take a closer look.

The domain is www.realsugardating.com

It’s not registered with Cloudflare. The Domain Registration says “Tucows”.

You need to change the Name Servers, as outlined in the last couple of steps in the article I linked to.

Awesome, thanks! I registered for Cloudflare via SiteGround.
Before I register directly with Cloudflare, I am going to contact SiteGround to see if they can fix it.

What can I do to improve on the results below? Thanks!

www.google-analytics.com : Google
videodelivery.net : Cloudflare
www.google.com : Google

You can’t do anything about the first batch because they’re not under your control.

The second batch doesn’t use the ‘www’ subdomain, which goes through Cloudflare. Your apex domain hostname (non-www) isn’t going through Cloudflare. Either set that DNS entry to :orange:, or change the URLs so they include ‘www’.

Thanks, that did the trick!

Over the past 7 days, Cloudflare reports that 4 GB of data was served, but only 183 MB of data was cached. I have these page rules setup.

Why is such a low amount of data cached?

4 GB
Data Cached
183 MB

By the way, the reason the domain points to Tuscows is because I signed up for Cloudflare via SiteGround and they told me I don’t need to point the domain to Cloudflare, because its taken care of by SiteGround
