Webflow Steup

Hi everyone,

I’m trying to set up my site. I originally purchased the domain at SiteGround (I wanted to use SiteGround and WordPress), then I moved it to Cloudflare.

I built the website using Webflow and now I’m having trouble linking everything together.

I put in the two A records and the one CNAME record that I was prompted to on Webflow last night.
I understand that I need to wait until the new setting takes effect, but I did the changes last night and here we are almost 24 hours later and I’m still getting error codes.

I’m just wondering if I’m missing anything since this is the first time I’m setting anything like this up.

Any help is apprecitated.
Thank you.

I suspect you followed these directions:

For starters, use the “Pause Cloudflare on Site” option from the Overview tab at dash.cloudflare.com. That will isolate the setup until you get things working.

If you need more assistance, please post your domain name after you’ve Paused Cloudflare.

Hey, Thank you so much for your response.
That’s the exact video that I used to help me set everything up. I read it somewhere that it can take up to 72 hours for the DNS to activate, so maybe that’s what’s happening.

I was trying to find the place where I can Pause Cloudflare on Site, but could not find it. My domain name is restednation.ca

DNS is pointing to something, but it has a certificate problem (525).

A 525 error is typically caused by a configuration issue in the origin web server when its SSL certificate is not properly set up. Review the suggestions in this Community Tip for advice & insight.

Thank you so much. but wow this seem very complicated for me. I’m basically clueless when it comes to these things.

I originally bought the domain through SïteGround, but then I cancelled the hosting because I wanted everything to move to Webflow. In the process of setting up my email address using the domain name I was advised by SiteGround that I can open a CloudFlare acct to enter codes so Google can verify. So now the only thing I have access to is Cloudflare and I can change/add NameServers on SiteGround. I don’t know how I could have access to any SSL settings. Do you have any idea how I could do this?

You still haven’t tried Pause Cloudflare on Site (lower right corner of Overview tab). Once you’ve done that, work with Webflow to get SSL installed on your site.

Okay I found where to pause Cloudflare. And now I’m reaching out to Webflow to see if they can help.

Thank you.

Okay I paused Cloudflare and now on Webflow it looks like it’s connected. Wow so that was it I guess?
Now I should unpause Cloudflare, correct?
