Web server is returning an unknown error message

https://events.madcolour.com/ is returning an error. Web server is returning an unknown error

You need to check your origin server/hosting. You can pause Cloudflare, or set the DNS record to “DNS only” to bypass Cloudflare to debug your problem, fix it, then re-enable Cloudflare.

This is the error:
Web server is returning an unknown error Error code 520.

events.madcolour.com
Host

Error

Is this an issuer with the hosting?

And how do I even check the hosting?

:point_up_2:

Thanks,

How do I pause Cloudflare on that record or set it to DNS only?

Thanks,

And once it is paused, then what?

I only want to pause one url, events . madcolour . com

Not the whole domain, as the rest are working.

Read further down the page…

I have paused the record.

Will this reboot it and hopefully work now?

Now requests go direct to the site and bypass Cloudflare, so you can now see what the problem is. Fix it. Then you can re-enable Cloudflare.

Thanks,

But getting an unsafe error message:

That’s the problem you need to fix.

Your SSL certificate isn’t for events.madcolour.com.

* Server certificate:
*  subject: C=US; ST=Pennsylvania; L=Pittsburgh; O=EPS US, LLC; CN=*.myprintdesk.net
*  start date: Jan 15 00:00:00 2024 GMT
*  expire date: Feb  6 23:59:59 2025 GMT
* subjectAltName does not match events.madcolour.com
* SSL: no alternative certificate subject name matches target host name 'events.madcolour.com'

Brilliant thank you for that.

How would I get a certificate from Cloudflare?

See here…

Note that these certificates are only trusted by Cloudflare so require use of the proxy.

Otherwise you’ll need to get a certificate from LetsEncrypt or another trusted CA.

Seems I already have one:

Download it and install it on your server.

Be reminded, you will see a certificate warning when it is working. You then need to re-enable the proxy.

I did, it is only giving me the text code, and not a downloadable file.

How do I get a downloadable file?
