"We were unable to process your payment." only for one domain

I am trying to renew a domain that has not yet expired, but whenever I do I get the error: “We were unable to process your payment. To keep your domain registration, update your payment method.”

I confirmed my payment information is correct, and as a test I was able to successfully renew another domain. I see the pending transactions from all my failed attempts to renew.

Sorry for the issues @olanmatt, can you create a Billing ticket and let the team know? I know there were some issue over the weekend, you may want to try again in incognito mode and/or a different browser. But if you continue to receive the error my colleagues in Billing Support will need to assist.

Thank you for your response, @cloonan! I am seeing the charges from my multiple attempts show up as pending transactions on my credit card, so I am hesitant to keep trying in case they all end up going through. In my haste to have this resolved I opened a ticket, but in Renewals instead of Billing, #3180676; can that be rerouted to the appropriate team?

Yes, we’ll flag that for the Billing team.

+1 understood & good idea to hold on any more charges, it sounds like they are slow in clearing and that may have been due to the issues over the weekend. Sorry for the problems.
