yes, because we haven’t switched over, if we switch the DNS entries to Shopify, we will be blocked by Cloudflare from time to time. Should we change this?
I’m not sure what you mean. Shopify uses Cloudflare but you don’t need to use Cloudflare yourself as well. You can just change your existing DNS provider’s records to point at Shopify.
OK, I’m currently clarifying this with Shopify
But that doesn’t currently solve our fundamental problem that our setup is stuck at Cloudflare and we can’t get rid of it.
We cannot change or solve any further plan
As mentioned, Shopify use Cloudflare so the Cloudflare error is a result of that. You will need to work through Shopify to ensure your domain is configured at their side.
If you are also trying to add your domain to Cloudflare, that is separate. Your domain is not currently using Cloudflare as shown above (and your screenshot shows you are in the setup phase of a Cloudflare account).
Work with Shopify so the 1001 error goes away first. That does not involve the Cloudflare account you are setting up.
For the Cloudflare account set up, if you have already raised a support ticket, then post the ticket number and a passing staff member may be able to follow up.
@sjr is correct. As you are not currently using Cloudflare this error is Shopify’s to address and resolve (even if you were using Cloudflare it would still be Shopify’s issue to resolve as it is their service generating the error).
Contact Shopify. Tell them you are not using Cloudflare and ask them to review their system and resolve the error as @sjr has recommended.
If Shopify wants to blame Cloudflare ask them specifically how it is Cloudflare’s problem, with evidence. Otherwise politely point them to this thread and suggest they escalate internally to someone at Shopify that understands what the actual issue is.
But we have still currently the Problem with our Account so if we could Solve this ASAP, then we could use Cloudflare again and the Shopify Problem could be obsolete
The Shopify problem would not be obsolete if you were using Cloudflare for your DNS. You have an issue with Shopify that has nothing to do with Cloudflare. Switching to Cloudflare doesn’t magically fix a problem with Shopify’s usage of Cloudflare for their e-commerce platform.
No one posting in this thread works for the Cloudflare. Your Cloudflare error is related to a billing issue. If you have a ticket open for that and aren’t trying to instead get them to fix your Shopify issue (which they can’t) you will need to wait on the billing team. That will take as long as it takes.
@robert.peter I would encourage you to get off cloudflare as quickly as possible if you are stuck on their support issues. Their support portal is quite broken. Many of my requests went unresponded to when I was on a business plan.
