Zero Trust access not possible with warp-cli on
What are the steps to reproduce the issue?
Hello Cloudflare Community,
started now with cloudflare couple of days ago for private use.
I have a home network with a raspberry and cloudflared installed onto it & a virtual linux server hosted publicly with warp-cli and cloudflared installed. Reason for that is I want to expose external websites + have warp-cli authenticated at the same time.
Now my problem: I cannot figure out why the Zero trust policys are not taking affect. I tried every combination of Include + Require but the only thing that seems to work is when I set the authentication policy action to “SERVICE AUTH” and set include to everyone. “curl https://www.cloudflare.com/cdn-cgi/trace” prints I am warp=on, also tried the ip addr coming out to allowlist… nothing works. Even if I install cloudflare warp (authenticated) to my client I do not have access to the websites I set restrictions on. Maybe I messed up a setting in the cloudflare warp client dashboard but I cannot figure out why it is not working.
Also I thought using the combination of 2 warp-connectors exposing both subnets to cloudflare would be way easier and more stable but then I am not aware of how to expose the website externally? Is that something where cloudflare load balancing could help? Would be really nice if anybody can enlighten me I do not think that it can be that hard exposing an application and get warp-cli trust at the same time on 1 device?
Thanks!
Regards
Tobi
