WAF & Google ads

Hello everyone! I’d like to start by mentioning that I’m a Google PPC manager and have limited experience with Cloudflare setup. Therefore, I’d appreciate a couple of tips from more experienced webmasters.

While launching advertising campaigns on Google Ads, I’ve encountered significant click fraud within my niche, and I’m seeking ways to safeguard my website and advertisements. I’ve attempted to configure the firewall on my own, but unfortunately, Google Ads triggers an error post-configuration, specifically indicating an “infected site” or “system bypass.” I’ve enabled JS Challenge and Captcha.

I’m looking for guidance on how to align WAF rules and Google Ads to allow Google’s bots for site verification within ad campaigns while blocking other bots. Has anyone dealt with a similar case? Your advice would be greatly appreciated. I believe this will be valuable for many PPC media buyers.
