WAF - custom rules for Shopify website

I am trying to block certain countries from our website stillfried.com.

  1. I added custom rules under Security > WAF to block certain countries. When checking via personal contacts and Geotargetly the countries are not blocked. When calling Cloudflare trace at Geotargetly it shows the right i.e. blocked country.

  2. After researching I found out that the Proxy status for the A-record of the DNS should say “Proxied”. But when I try to enable that, I get am error: This record type cannot be proxied. (Code: 9004)

  3. Looking for this error I found information about the partnership between Cloudflare and Shopify.

Now my question: Do I understand correctly, that I need an enterprise plan of Cloudflare to apply WAF custom rules?
