What steps have you taken to resolve the issue?

We asked the API people to check the bot options on their CF account and it is disabled just like in mine and they told us to check with CF why it keeps asking to verify if it is a human.

Was the site working with SSL prior to adding it to Cloudflare?

what kind of questions are these? This issue has been resolved. Not sure how they fixed it but the challenging thing is gone.

You said that the human verification message didn’t go away, which sounds to be an endless loop.

It has been seen before, that specific browsers, or even browser specific extensions are causing such kind of endless loops.

So these questions were just asking for details, that may be mandatory to answer, in order for anyone to be assist you, with the problem you mentioned.
